2011 was an incredible year for us, filled to the brim with pinch-me moments and an overall sense of newness and adventure. We moved into a new studio space here in Atlanta at the Goat Farm (yes, there are actually goats… and chickens, and roosters, and a big fat turkey!); had work published in places we could have only dreamed of; collaborated with so many uber-talented vendors; and were blessed to work with brides that had impeccable visions. We grew so much creatively, which we hope you will see on our new site.

A special thanks to all of the photographers (you know who you are), who just know how to take a gorgeous photo. You have allowed our work to last forever in a beautiful way.

And of course, to all of the brides + grooms who have been nothing short of spectacular: we sure are lucky to get to call this work. We can't wait to finally share your weddings on our new blog!

Thank you to everyone who wrote us love notes, followed us on the interwebs in some shape or form, told their friends about us, and helped our business grow into what it is today. We are in total awe and feel pretty darn lucky.

Thank you so much to the lovely Meagan Gibson for designing the website we've always wanted. We finally have a site that is a true reflection of our brand and who we are as designers. If you like what you see and need a site designed, Meagan's your gal.

We are so excited to announce the first in a series of floral design workshops, and you are invited!

Drawing inspiration from fiery sunsets and warm evenings ‘round the campfire, this inaugural workshop will give students the opportunity to create a lush tablescape, styled with found objects and locally foraged botanicals. (Follow our Pinterest board here!) At this workshop, you will not only learn some of the basics of floral design, such as flower identification and composition, but you will also learn how to implement some of our signature touches, from creating charming vignettes using vintage vessels, to incorporating local foliage into your arrangements and creating a centerpiece with movement and balance.

$425 per person (This price includes everything you need, and lots of other things we know you’ll want! Flowers, vessels, food and drink, lots of swag, your floral creations and vintage vessels, and lots of new know-how.)

For those of you who are new to this blog, and may be unfamiliar with Amy Osaba event.floral.design, we are a full event design company with an aesthetic that is organic, free, and a twist on the traditional. Click here to see more of who we are and what we’ve been up to lately.

This is going to be such a fun day! We will start the morning with cupcakes and coffee (after all, its never too early for cupcakes, especially when they are provided by Sun in My Belly), and soon thereafter we will explore the grounds of the Goat Farm for inspiration and pretty foliage to use in our arrangements. An array of freshly cut, gorgeous flowers will also be provided to choose from. After the morning’s lessons, we will enjoy a delicious ‘sack lunch’ (again, courtesy of Sun in My Belly). In the afternoon, students will learn how to create a gorgeous tablescape, while also attending our version of mini ‘arts and crafts’ workshops in the spirit of the Campfire Girls!

Now this is where it gets even more (!) exciting. At the end of the day, amidst the gorgeous sunset (and hors d'oeuvres and cocktails!), you will be guided by sought-after prop + wardrobe stylist Ginny Branch Stelling in setting up your very own photo shoot! [You may remember seeing some of Ginny’s styling work here. To top it all off, your work will be photographed by none other than the lovely Heidi of Our Labor of Love! If you read this blog at all, you know how much we love Heidi. Not only is she one of the most accomplished photographers in the wedding industry, she is super fun to boot!

As if that weren’t enough to make you want to sign up today, each student will also go home with a special apron, floral shears, merit badge, their floral creations in an array of vintage vessels, and amazing photographs of their work. Of course, we can’t reveal everything we’re planning yet – but rest assured there will be even more surprises!

Laurie + Greg at the Fox Theatre

Laurie + Greg's wedding was, in a word, magical. The Fox Theatre makes for such a dramatic setting, so I knew the flowers needed to pack some major punch! We decided to play up the Moroccan style of the theatre by using antique brass vessels mixed with lanterns and glass, which looked beautiful paired with the bright, bold flowers. I do love working with a bride who is not afraid of color! And those peonies…oh, those peonies!

Many thanks to Anna & Spencer Photography for the stunning photographs - I have to say, my jaw dropped to the floor when I first saw these photos. Like I said, magical. Hope you enjoy!

Julie + Andy at Reynolds Plantation

Julie + Andy wanted the design of their wedding to be both rustic and elegant, just like their gorgeous venue, the Ritz Carlton Lodge at Reynolds Plantation. It was a beautiful day, and the chuppah we created for the ceremony is one of my favorites to date. Many thanks to Adam of W. Scott Chester Photography for capturing the beauty of this wedding in such a special way.

Paper Flowers + the NotWedding Rehearsal Dinner

When Max at Sun in My Belly asked me to put together a creative installation for the cafe's summer season, I jumped at the opportunity. My team and I got busy creating large paper flowers (each individually hand-painted by Erica) and fringe - lots and lots of fringe! Not only did it create a bright and happy atmosphere for the summer months, but also provided the perfect backdrop for the NotWedding "rehearsal dinner," which was recently featured on Occasions Magazine's blog. And today (!) on Green Wedding Shoes!

For those of you that aren't familiar with the NotWedding, it is an awesome alternative to a bridal show, because it is just like attending a real wedding, with loads of inspiration and top-notch vendors bringing their A-game. The rehearsal dinner was a mixer and planning session for all the vendors involved, and everyone left super excited for the main event!

Over the next few months, make sure you stop by for breakfast or lunch at Sun in My Belly and check out the installation, and of course, make your plans to attend the NotWedding on July 21st. (By the way, did you check out the adorable engagement shoot??) See you there!

Soooo what to say for the first post in the new year....

Well obviously we took a couple of much needed weeks to rest and rejuvenate, although we did have two holiday weddings that I will be very excited to share soon.

I do want to say how terribly grateful I am to be able to do what I do. And I could never ever do it if I didn't have the help and support of a few good peeps.

First I want to say how utterly privileged I feel that God literally plopped these opportunities down in my lap. Second, my dear husband Robb. Without him I could never do this: he is the one who actually builds stuff and gets it from here to there (not to mention all the cooking and keeping three incautious little boys entertained). And my sweet Erica... you will be hearing so much more about her. She is one talented chick that has joined Team Osaba, and I am beyond thrilled that she stays on despite the insanity. :)

Sometimes I can't even believe how quickly this business grew. Anyhow... I guess starting a new year you kinda get all sentimental.

Moving on... Check out the adorable Christmas cards that the one and only Miss Erica designed, both for our family and the business. The awesome Heidi took the photos of the boys (more of those to come soon, too).

I'm tellin' you, just look how stinkin' cute these are. She hand drew the flower on the front and we crafted each and every one of the fabric pieces. Love it! I am lucky to have her and am forever grateful for all that she does for me and the business.

Maybe the best gift we received this Christmas was photos sent all the way from Haiti that the bears had made it (also see here for the story on WSB-TV and here for even more)! The bears, after being sent down to Haiti by LIFT, received by Global Dirt, gotten through customs by Can-Do, and loaded onto a schoolbus brought by GrassRoots United were passed out to several orphanages and women's battery shelters and clinics on Christmas Day. So special. Next week Noah will be recognized by the City of Duluth for his kind heart. We're very very proud to say the least.

Very cool to see Noah's very own Cat in the Hat going to the kids. Something he will always have to remember his good heart.

I was beyond thrilled when the gals over at 100 Layer Cake asked if i would like to be a part of the A-list. It's a hand-picked bunch of vendors that... well, they just like. I can tell ya it's kinda cool and sorta big... I am over the moon to be listed with some of these people. I mean, they have been mentors and inspirations to me and my business for years (even though they didn't know it). It's an honor to be grouped with such talent.

Noah Turns 7!

I couldn't resist this year. Every year when my oldest boy Noah's birthday comes around it just gets too crazy to do a Halloween party for him. But this year he wanted a costume party. So on a weekend I didn't have any events (...or so I thought as Erica and I were carrying a 100lb table through a wooded park...), we set up under a couple of sweet southern trees in a huge field. It turned out pretty stinkin' cute. Check out the detail on the clues that the incredibly talented Erica made (who you will all officially meet on the new blogsite coming soon!). She is an amazing designer who I am lucky to have - extremely creative and she keeps me sane. She did all of these by hand. No printing here, just good ol' raw talent.

And I have to give a huge thank you to Camille Ridinger of camille deann photography who so graciously gave up an afternoon with her son to come and shoot mine. She is one cool lady and totally talented. Thanks Camille for capturing the sweetness of the kids.

Maddy (of The Inspired Bride and Nonpareil) was so sweet to feature a couple of collaborations between me and one of my favorite gals Heidi over on her new blog Somewhere Splendid. I am so privileged to always have such great people to collaborate with. I am lucky enough to work with Heidi a lot both in the wedding world (the adorable Arnold + Goeun, the Free Wedding, our home featured on Design*Sponge, & for Once Wed, just to name a few) and personally (new photos of the kids coming soon!). Heidi is so generous to me and I am beyond thankful that I have her to so beautifully capture so much of my work and my family.

Lullwater Acres

Max at Sun in My Belly was so sweet to ask me to help him with an event to promote a new venue in Atlanta called Lullwater Acres. This house was so gorgeous that we decided we had to do a little shoot in the dining room. The textures were just too yummy. Heidi not only took some amazing shots but did the absolutely gorgeous paper table runner of fig leaves. We had such a fun day... the day was crisp and nice and the food was fabulous [as always]. Even the Smilebooth was there!

Arnold + Goeun at Puritan Mill

So this is a true testament that you can have the most adorable wedding without going completely overboard. Arnold and Goeun held their nuptials at Puritan Mill on a sweet summer afternoon. They gave me a great color scheme to work with, some of the adorable vessels and wood elements, then pretty much gave me free reign to do anything. I think the little vessels turned out darn cute, if I do say so myself. Of course it couldn’t have been documented any better than by my girl Heidi who never ceases to amaze me with her talents. Congrats to you guys!!

Ashley + Aaron at Montaluce

Ashley was the cutest bride. So excited and fun. The wedding was held at Montaluce, my very favorite venue. She wanted to have her ceremony outside, but unfortunately the forecast called for rain. We put up a tent just alongside the grape vines, but of course wouldn't fate have it, right as the ceremony began the sun shone beautifully.

I think one of the sweetest things was Aaron's grandparents: they were married during the Holocaust and had a newspaper clipping from when they entered the US: "Their love was stronger than Nazi Germany!" And here they were at this wedding day- you could tell he was just as in love with her now as he was in that clipping. I love to see this at weddings... Isn’t that what it’s all about, loving someone for the rest of your life, learning to go through life together?

I wish that for you two, Ashley and Aaron a lifetime of learning how to love one another...

Lindsey + Tyler at the Atlanta Botanical Garden

Lindsey and Tyler were super sweet, endearing, and just all-around lovely. They had their glorious southern soiree at the Atlanta Botanical Garden on a perfect spring day. Their preppy navy alongside soft hues of pale pinks and gray was destined to be a hit, especially with Ms. Lindsay Pitt of Toast Events heading it up. Thanks guys for letting me spruce up your fete with the lovely David Austin Juliets, passion flower, and little accents of blueberries... yes, blueberries. It was a perfect combination with the vintage silver vessels and the pretty fluffy flowers.

Anytime Jeremy asks me to do something with him, I blindly say yes... I don’t even ask about details because I just know it will be beyond insanely beautiful. So when he told me this shoot was going to be at Montaluce, one of my favorite places, of course I was ecstatic. If you have never been to Montaluce you are in for a real treat. It is a must for anyone who lives anywhere close by. Now you do have to go through some 'interesting' roads to get there, but once you are there you literally feel like you have stepped into one of those beautiful Tuscan films. Anyhoo... the images turned out absolutely, unbelievably stunning. See for yourself...

From the first moment I met Natalie and her mom I was in love. Their great sense of style, the way they were so genuinely excited about the wedding and the flowers, ohh the flowers... they had a very clear vision of what they wanted and instantly I was swept away with their inspiration. Natalie and her mom had such a great relationship. I don’t think I have ever seen a mom and daughter just get each other like they do.

From the moment I saw her inspiration board I was excited about Laura's vision for her wedding day. I loved her sherbet tones and antique details, and the overall 'gardeny' feel. We got to do the really fun fabric backdrop for the ceremony in her color scheme, which, as always, Scott captured so beautifully. He is always such a pleasure to work with. Laura put so much thought into the details of her wedding, which always makes a wedding so special for the guests.
...And a huge thanks to my sweet assistant Erica. She is a lovely thinker of space. I am one lucky chick to have her. I couldn’t do what I do without her. And to my good ole southern gent. Christopher. Thanks guys for helping me out with this event. I owe you!

Jen was so sweet to work with. She was just so genuinely excited about her wedding day. She chose a gorgeous plum color scheme, which was carried through the entire day all the way down to her adorable wellies. Scott always does such a great job capturing the beautiful moments of a wedding, even despite the rain, which they totally embraced. {Click here to see their engagement session, which was also featured on Weddings Unveiled!}

This wedding also had a super fun vendor lineup. It always makes an event so much more fun when you get to work with all of your friends! My sweet friend Ashley Baber coordinated; the cake was by Lane at Sweet N' Sinful. The ceremony was held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, followed by the reception at the Dunwoody Country Club where guests partied the night away and had lots of fun in the photobooth!

Sometimes you get the sweet pleasure of meeting and getting to know a couple through their wedding process then ending up friends. From the first moment I met Melissa and her mother, almost a year ago, I was ecstatic to be a part of her wedding. From all of their precious details to the venue and the photographer... well, I was in love. It always means so much to me to hear a bride say, “I really am not worried about anything...I completely trust you,” and she did. There was just an incredible graciousness about her and AJ. Always encouraging and believing in me and my suggestions. They are the reason I love what I do.

From the moment I first met Kelsey at Highland Bakery I had such a good feeling about her. She was just so stinkin' cute! I knew all of her vendors, which always makes for a super fun day, and from their cute invitations to the wood table number cut-outs, she had such cute and thoughtful ideas for all of her little details. I just knew it would be an adorable wedding. Kelsey + Brett were so very charming, gracious, and endearing. It was so sweet how all of their friends and family chipped in to make their special day so adorable. It was obvious how many people they had touched throughout their lives.

Her dress was gorgeous. And that chunky necklace was so cute! Brett's suit was awesome - southern gentleman with a little bit of a cool, vintage twist.

It poured rain just before the ceremony (which was held at the The Trolley Barn). Kelsey + Brett seemed just so happy to be married that it almost didn't matter a bit. Ashley did the awesome flower installation and with her on-the-spot creativity made it work inside the tent. And Kyle Hale was there to capture all of the adorable moments and details.

From the moment I met Courtney & her mother Lorraine I knew that it was the perfect match. They had such a great vision for Courtney's big day which was just right up my alley. Courtney & George were beyond adorable. Their wedding was held at Montaluce, adding such stunning natural beauty to their already special day. The ceremony was lovely and intimate, illuminated by romantic candlelight and subtle uplighting on the traditional Tuscan stucco in the production room of the winery. Guests witnessed their vows while overlooking the gorgeous, lush rolling hills of the vineyards. From the use of old wine barrels to sweet and small vessels filled with light and airy flowers scattered all around, the details of their special day were so elegant and charming, the entire day incredibly sweet and authentic.

I am so blessed to get to work up at Montaluce so much. It is such a gorgeous setting for a wedding and I am always treated like family. Lane from Sweet and Sinful made the delicious cake, and all of the lovely photos were taken by Picture This! Photography.

Bears for Haiti is a huge success!

Bears for Haiti has become a huge success: it grew to include two other schools. I cannot believe the outpouring of love from the kids at Noah’s school. The kids got so excited everyday seeing the mound of bears growing, and by the end they brought in 2,202 bears! The total amount of bears collected between all three schools is over 4,000!

I know that there are plenty of other needs like food, clothing, and shelter. But I just keep thinking about the child who has lost everything, some their whole families. How great would it be to bring them a little hope. To give them something to call their very own. Think about how excited little kids get when they get a surprise or a new toy. We need to take care of their hearts, too. I know their hearts will grow when they find that other kids in another country are thinking of them.

It just makes me so excited to see that these kids here in Georgia have a heart for children that they will never meet and are able to think outside of their own circumstances. How wonderful to get kids thinking about these things early in their lives and thinking globally!

Our goal for Bears for Haiti, and for us as a family, is to help Noah see his good intentions to the end. How wonderful would it be for him to be there to help distribute these bears, to meet some of these kids and to see how it affects them. From one kid to another!

We initially were working with one organization that was going to help us get the bears to Haiti but now it has gotten too big. We have to find another way to get these little gifts down there to the children.

We are putting it out there. God has completely done something here and I know he will make a way.

Great job to all of the kids at Chattahoochee Elementary, Berkley Lake Elementary, and Chesney Elementary!!!

It is so great when a bride entirely trusts your creative style. Heidi was so sweet to work with. The more she talked about the details of her wedding the more excited I got. From her gorgeous color scheme down to the vintage yard furniture, croquet set, and all of her other fun little details, this wedding is just so stinkin' cute! And those adorable yellow bridesmaid's dresses! The wedding was held at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, GA where they were married under a huge, gorgeous tree. Woodland Fields did an awesome job of capturing Heidi & Michael's special day...

Bears for Haiti

In Haiti alone, there are 490,000 orphans, tens of thousands orphaned by the recent earthquake. Living in the poorest country in the hemisphere many of the orphanages are barely habitable, much less licensed.

Mission: to provide the orphans and children of Haiti a glimpse of hope and comfort (the plush toys) in an otherwise hopeless situation.

Bears for Haiti all started with my kindergartner Noah telling us over the course of a couple of weeks how badly he felt for the kids in Haiti. He would say, “Mommy, I really wish we could do something for the kids over there, a lot of them have lost their Mommies and Daddies.” I thought, what a huge concept for a 5 year old to consider…

So we started talking as he was playing with one of his many stuffed animals. [We have two other boys so you can imagine the amount of stuffed animals we have around.] I asked Noah if he would like to send one of his animals to the kids in Haiti who have lost everything. He looked at me and said, “yes, let’s send them all!” From here birthed a huge conversation about how those kids have lost their homes, families, brothers and sisters… everything.

Our goal for Bears for Haiti is to really get the kids involved: for them to make a conscious decision to give to those less fortunate when we are beyond blessed. By giving up one of their new or gently used stuffed animals they will directly affect another child’s outlook on their situation, kids who may have lost their favorite doll or toy and have nothing to call their own. We want the children to draw or write a note and tie it to each bear so the kids will see that someone cares about them and they are not forgotten. Kids helping kids.

My sweet friend Heidi Elnora launched her 2010 bridal collection at the fabulous Bill Lowe Gallery for The Art of Weddings show this February. The event was a showcase of so many wonderful and talented Atlanta vendors. Everyone got together for such a great cause, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama. And a huge shout out to the talented Erin from Aregrayline Photography for coming out and taking these gorgeous photos!

Each vendor was given a piece of artwork and a piece from Heidi's collection for his/her inspiration. Mine was 'Requiem for a Princess,' which was very organic, full of texture, and just so lovely.

I am so in love with the images from our photo shoot for Nonpareil Magazine. Erin over at aregrayline photography did an amazing job. My sweet friend Melanie who has the stinkin cutest blog ever Lucky + Lovely came up with this concept of a precious little courthouse wedding. #SC2010 :)

Raney O’Keefe did the hair and makeup. She is one of my faves-very talented lady.

And I cannot forget the adorable models. I am doing their wedding in May!!! You may remember them from here. They have been so sweet to work with. Not only are they absolutely adorable but I feel like we have become friends.

I was so excited that my sweet friend Max from Sun in My Belly referred me to Lindsey & George. They got married at the lovely Sacred Heart Catholic Church this past December. We used lots of white anemones, black magic roses, berries, red ranunculus, big burgundy peonies, and branches to create a 'wintery' feel without it feeling too 'holiday-ish.' Daria from Circle of Love Weddings coordinated the entire day beautifully. Everyone headed over to Magnolia Hall at Piedmont Park for a super fun reception. Scott Chester took these beautiful photographs, Max from Sun in My Belly served his awesome food, and Lindsay (& her mom) were just so sweet and charming to work with. Ashley and William :: A Southern Soiree

Ashley and William’s wedding was so much fun. Andrea from Andrea Taylor Studio sent me over these beautiful images from their wedding. Ashley wore a stunning Carolina Herrera gown with a detachable bottom that transformed into an adorable party dress. The ceremony was at Peachtree United Methodist Church in Buckhead, followed by a fun night of dancing with the band "Livin' Large" at St. Ives Country Club. Her colors were purple and white, so we used varying shades of purple hydrangea, Picasso callas, purple amnesia roses, silver brunia, and of course tons of ranunculus. It was a beautiful southern soirée topped off with a classic 1941 Cadillac getaway car. Congratulations Ashley and William!

What a great cause…oh and Heidi will be launching her new line too! (wink-wink, nod-nod). It’s going to be at the fabulous Bill Lowe Gallery. Each dress will have its very own model and artwork with its own floral designer (that’s me with tons of other talented artists) and hair and makeup, each one a little vignette. I have just fallen in love with one of my sweet brides, Melissa. She is getting married next may at Montaluce, a winery here in north Georgia... it literally makes you feel like you are in Tuscany. (Yes I know it’s in Georgia, but it really is gorgeous). I have just been so thrilled with her sweet words of encouragement and excitement over the flowers and décor for her wedding day.
The photographers for her wedding are one of my favorites here in Atlanta, W. Scott Chester, they recently did Melissa and AJ’s engagement session so here it is. I absolutely cannot wait to for her wedding day, I mean just look at the style oozing outta this couple. Ya think their wedding is gonna pretty much rock???

A few months ago I got the sweetest email from a blogger that I just adore. She told me she was getting married and that she just loved my designs and really wanted me to do the flowers for her wedding, but there was just one problem….she was in California.
I told her that I really thought we could work something out. I really wanted to be a part of this girls wedding, as you can see from her inspiration boards that it was going to pretty much ROCK…

So we agreed that I would send those little lovelies out there on Thursday and she would take care of them until the wedding on Saturday. It was a little like sending children off to college. I really wanted these to be special for Erin, she really put a lot of trust in me. I mean sending these precious delicate flowers all the way across country all by their lonesome little selves is scary. So I packed them up all sweet and carefully. And waited for the fed-ex email to confirm that they had arrived… Yay!!! They did and Erin was thrilled. Here are her sweet words after she saw them for the first time...

Amy, I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am. Those flowers were beyond gorgeous!!! They were absolute perfection. Even the little ribbon pieces mixed with twine and the beads...oh I loved it all!!!! We kept all of the bouquets and had them sitting around our hotel room on our little minimoon and I was soooo sad to have to throw them away. It broke my heart a little. I took a million pictures of them though. My husband thought I was crazy but I couldn't get over the gorgeous colors. Those dark purple peonies were breathtaking!!! Thank you so much. Weddings Unveiled Bouquets

I was beyond thrilled when Brooke asked me to do the flower layout for the fall issue of Weddings Unveiled. Little did I know that it would be 6 pages! The inspiration was outdoor rustic with lots of fun fall colors. It was so much fun.

Gaia Wedding

Natalie called me at the end of last year and asked if I would be willing to travel to Nashville to do the flowers for her wedding at the Frist Museum. Since Robb used to live there and I would love to, we jumped at the chance. Robb always says he feels Nashville is his soul’s home…
I met Nicole and Chip through one of my brides a couple of years ago. And as it turned out I knew Chip from childhood. It really is a small world after all.

Featured on Design*Sponge...Twice!

I'm so honored to be featured on Design*Sponge twice this week! They called about a month ago and asked if I would open up my home and studio for their Sneak Peek series. I of course said "yes!" and called on my good friend Heidi to take some photos for me. She did such an amazing job... thanks girl! Click here to see all the photos.
The next feature was a photo shoot for Emily of Once Wed with the talented Joy Thipgen. We had a gorgeous eyelet cake from Chocolate Pink that was topped off with the cutest handmade cake topper from Dolci Odille. The photography was done by the phenomenal girls of Simply Bloom. So, there are a few of us vendors that have taken a liking to one another. We have all sort of joined together, and have found this sweet niche that we all gravitate toward. Bridal Bar Grand Opening

The Bridal Bar grand opening was a huge success. I couldn’t believe that over 700 people showed up. WOW! It was such an honor to have been asked to be apart of it, and to showcase my flowers next to all of these incredibly talented vendors. I was absolutely thrilled. Of course I wanted to blow it out of the water with my space so I decided to do these suspended arrangements that hung over the catering stations. They turned out to be so much more than I imagined. You know how you first envision something in your head… you don’t know how it is going to work… and then somehow it all comes together at the last minute? If it weren’t for my sweet- logical husband they would have never made it. He made the boxes for me from scratch. Isn’t he just he sweetest? Clearly I would not be able to do this job without him. Sneak Peek: Megan and Sean

Here is a little sneak peek at one of the weddings from Labor Day weekend. It was at this precious little winery in the north Georgia mountains - Crane Creek Winery. This adorable couple Megan and Sean…(who are now on their honeymoon in Barcelona!) just had the sweetest spirit about them: genuine, loving, happy.

A Really Beautiful Shoot...

A few months ago Joy and I worked on The Not Wedding together and instantly hit it off. I knew she was my kind of girl from the moment I saw her work. She is uber talented and is now, I am glad to say, one of my sweet friends. Joy was so sweet to invite me to be a part of this photo shoot with the very talented photographer, Jeremy Harwell.

This shoot was shot at Serenbe - a beautiful, sustainable, local farm-rasin’, yummy food-gettin’, lay in a cot and take a rest farm community…that my husband and I secretly want to escape to.
I feel like this shoot took on a very European, old world Spanish/Cuban (shout out to my cute Cuban husband), feel. Very timeless and elegant.

Fun Family Pics

I am so in love with Our Labor of Love. Heidi has taken so many wonderful pictures of our family and my flowers, and I could never thank her enough. She is one talented chick! She came out to the house to get some shots of my cute little family! They turned out to be incredible. I could not believe she captured all of these, because the baby was so upset the whole time! She’s a miracle worker. Thanks Heidi!!

But I have to say those boys are pretty stinkin cute! Don’t ya think.
It’s true what your mamma told ya….you never know what real love is until ya have a baby- Cuz they can make me pretty crazy sometimes, but every moment I love more and more and more and……

The Free Wedding

I’m so excited, because I finally get to talk about the Free Wedding!! After The Not Wedding back in April, we set up a contest with one luck couple getting married…the couple agreed to sign over all their decisions to our team. And…Sam and Kaitlyn were the lucky winners! The Free Wedding was at the end of May, and it turned out to be such a beautiful event! I was so excited to work with Sun in My Belly, Our Labor of Love, Joy Thigpen Environments, Ashley Baber Weddings, Dolci Odille and everybody who helped out on the big day! It was so much fun working with such a creative, artistic team. Special thanks to Emily at Once Wed for the awesome post about this event!

Emily over at Once Wed asked me to do a photo shoot with the ever so talented Heidi-Our Labor of Love and Joy Thigpen (my sweet friend). This is me…. and my family… and what I do... all rolled up into one big happy, crazy, grand central station life. I am thankful to have a wonderful family that rolls with the punches of artistry and real life. With three boys (four if you count my adorable husband), there is never a dull moment, to say the least.

We are amyosaba event. floral. design.

We do flowers that are just left of center: organic, free, a bit edgy, a twist on the traditional; a little bit of fun and a whole lot of love. I truly love the creative process, and being able to see where an idea might take you.

I am a home grown flower lover. My grandmother had a huge farm where she grew hybrid daylilies. People from all over the country would drive out to her lovely Arkansas home to see her flowers. As for my mother, she takes on the green thumb by plucking away in her 2 acre garden, finding new exciting colors and textures - so, I get it honest.

Flowers are in my blood…
