Southern Weddings Magazine Cover Shoot

A few months ago Lara Casey asked me to be a part of the cover shoot for the latest issue of Southern Weddings Magazine. What an honor to be a part of such a wonderful new wedding magazine. It was shot at the beautiful Serenbe in Palmetto, Georgia. I just love how the whole thing turned out. It was a beautiful collaboration of some of my favorite friends and artists.

Jenny + Andrew

I am so lucky to work with some of the most incredible people in the wedding industry. This was such a fun wedding. With Ashley Baber, Jesse & Whit from OLOL, Matt Miller and my sweet friend Ashley of Dolci Odille - we might just spontaneously combust with gorgeousness and love.
Jenny had a clear vision of how she wanted her wedding to look. She is a graphic designer, check her out by clicking here. She came to our first meeting with a perfectly laid out sketch of her venue, which just happened to be her parents incredible Atlanta restaurant, Café Sunflower. What a treat to be a part of such a creative wedding complete with a Mariachi band and belly dancers!

Check out the fun Smilebooth with another fabulous backdrop from Ashley.

Melissa and AJ...adorable

I have just fallen in love with one of my sweet brides, Melissa. She is getting married next may at Montaluce, a winery here in north Georgia... it literally makes you feel like you are in Tuscany. (Yes I know it’s in Georgia, but it really is gorgeous). I have just been so thrilled with her sweet words of encouragement and excitement over the flowers and décor for her wedding day.
The photographers for her wedding are one of my favorites here in Atlanta, W. Scott Chester, they recently did Melissa and AJ’s engagement session so here it is. I absolutely cannot wait to for her wedding day, I mean just look at the style oozing outta this couple. Ya think their wedding is gonna pretty much rock???
…Yeah me too.

You guys are too cute! That hat girl, is just darling and the car… well let’s just say my husband has pretty much fallen for it.

Featured in Jezebel Magazine

Jezebel magazine called a few weeks ago and asked me to do the beauty feature. I was honored that they thought of me. I thought it might be a small little feature. Little did I know that it was two whole pages! It was a sweet write up. Thanks to Emily Foley who wrote the article, as well as the Free Wedding article in Weddings Unveiled last month.

Erin + Chuck

A few months ago I got the sweetest email from a blogger that I just adore. She told me she was getting married and that she just loved my designs and really wanted me to do the flowers for her wedding, but there was just one problem….she was in California.
I told her that I really thought we could work something out. I really wanted to be a part of this girls wedding, as you can see from her inspiration boards that it was going to pretty much ROCK…

So we agreed that I would send those little lovelies out there on Thursday and she would take care of them until the wedding on Saturday. It was a little like sending children off to college. I really wanted these to be special for Erin, she really put a lot of trust in me. I mean sending these precious delicate flowers all the way across country all by their lonesome little selves is scary. So I packed them up all sweet and carefully. And waited for the fed-ex email to confirm that they had arrived… Yay!!! They did and Erin was thrilled. Here are her sweet words after she saw them for the first time...

Amy, I can't even begin to tell you how thankful I am. Those flowers were beyond gorgeous!!! They were absolute perfection. Even the little ribbon pieces mixed with twine and the beads...oh I loved it all!!!! We kept all of the bouquets and had them sitting around our hotel room on our little minimoon and I was soooo sad to have to throw them away. It broke my heart a little. I took a million pictures of them though. My husband thought I was crazy but I couldn't get over the gorgeous colors. Those dark purple peonies were breathtaking!!! Thank you so much. You made an already perfect day even more perfect. You are insanely talented. I will send you pictures as soon as I get them from Corbin! I'm married! yay! Have a wonderful weekend Amy. Speak with you soon! Best, Erin

Here are the incredible photos from Corbin Gurkin of Erin and Chuck’s gorgeous wedding day. So thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. I was honored to be a part of their special day. Congratulations guys!!!!

Free Wedding in Weddings Unveiled

Not only were the bouquet’s featured in the fall issue of Weddings Unveiled...the Free Wedding was published as well. This was a fabulous little idea that some of my favorite vendors in town came up with. I was so ecstatic to do an event with all these peeps. And it turned out pretty darn cute I must say…
